Growing a community-first brand on social

Brand Architect ★ Instagram + TikTok ★ 2023 to now

Results: 2,700 to 8,000+ followers · 16% average engagement · 740K+ views on our first viral post

The goal: Grow What She Said from a small, loyal following into a go-to space for women building businesses, without losing the warmth that made people show up in the first place.

What I did:

  • Built the social strategy and voice across Instagram and TikTok, from daily posting to long-term planning

  • Directed a team of 2 on content production, with a calendar and approval workflow built in ClickUp

  • Leaned into content that sounds like something people would actually say, and let the community see itself in every post

The viral moment: Our first viral post reached 500K+ accounts with 740K+ views, 10K+ shares, 3.4K reposts, and 1.8K saves.

Oboe

Launching an AI learning platform by meeting people where they already are

Launch strategy ★ X, Substack, LinkedIn ★ Sept 2025

Results (first 24 hours on X): 800 to 4,725 followers · ~41K impressions · 3.3K engagements

The goal: Launch Oboe, a platform that builds courses with AI, and get it in front of people who already want to learn something new.

What I did:

  • Built a social listening strategy around one simple idea: people post about what they want to learn every day

  • Found posts from people wishing they understood a topic, picking up a hobby, or building a new skill

  • Replied with an Oboe course made for that exact interest, so every touchpoint felt personal and useful

RFRL

App launch, membership, and 100+ ticket IRL events

Brand Architect, What She Said ★ Campaigns + event branding ★ 2025 to now

Results: RFRL app launch (Aug 2025) · RFRL Red membership campaign · 100+ tickets sold for every IRL event

The goal: Bring the What She Said community into the RFRL app, then give members reasons to keep showing up, online and in real life.

What I did:

  • Owned messaging and branding for the RFRL app launch, from concept to rollout

  • Creative directed the RFRL Red campaign to grow paid membership inside the app, from script to final assets: assembled and directed the photographer, videographer, models, and styling, and built the shot list to match the vision

  • Created event messaging and branding for IRL events like Babeland and Biz Shower, each selling 100+ tickets

Fan Mail

What She Said ★ Email ★ Sept 2024 to now

Results: 3,500+ subscribers · 38.8% average open rate · monthly to weekly in Sept 2026

The goal: Turn the newsletter into a direct line to the community, warm and useful enough that people look forward to it.

What I did:

  • Lead Fan Mail's content and voice: warm, playful, and community-forward

  • Bring readers behind the scenes of founder life and building a startup, from merch rollouts and product updates to IRL events and ticket launches

  • Connect every channel in one place, carrying the themes we talk about on Instagram and TikTok and the conversations happening at our events into each issue

  • Scaled Fan Mail from monthly to weekly in Sept 2026, averaging a 38.8% open rate since the switch

Skillshare

Cultural campaigns powered by creators

Social Community Manager ★ Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts ★ 2023 to 2025

Results: 40+ creators · 10 cultural campaigns · 20+ posts per week · 2 Creativity Lab cohorts

The goal: Celebrate cultural moments in a way that felt real, by putting creators and teachers at the center.

What I did:

  • Co-developed social-first campaigns for Black History Month, AAPI Heritage Month, Latinx and Hispanic Heritage Month, and Pride, partnering with about 4 creators each

  • Led Creativity Lab, a creator program with two cohorts of 5 creators

  • Ran the content calendar across 4 platforms, publishing 20+ posts a week

“I had the pleasure of working with Ingrid during our time together at Skillshare. When I joined, she already had a strong grasp on our social media channels, but quickly and seamlessly took on even greater responsibility in growing Skillshare’s online presence. I was especially impressed by her creative ideation and her knack for staying ahead of the curve with fresh, relevant topics - both casual and professional - across the creative sector. Most importantly, Ingrid is a joy to collaborate with, she’s organized, talented, and endlessly resourceful. If you’re looking for a multi-talented creative who can be agile while also inventive and organized, look no further than Ingrid.”

Hi, I'm Ingrid

I'm a bilingual brand and social marketer, a journalism grad from UT Austin, and someone who believes the best content sounds like a friend talking.

Over 7+ years, I've grown communities at What She Said, Inc., partnered with creators at Skillshare, launched an AI learning platform on X, and run my own studio, Run with Social, for 30+ clients. I care about brands with a point of view, campaigns rooted in culture, and copy that feels human in English and en español.
